NORTHERN ALBERTA NAIT SCHOLARSHIP
Full-time Student Applicant - 2011
(The Northern Alberta Scholarship has been awarded for the 2011 course year)

General requirements for Full-time Student applicants and Outreach Program Student applicants:

1. Must be a "member in good standing" of the A.W.W.O.A.
2. Must provide confirmation of registration with the NAIT Water and Wastewater Technician Program.
3. Must have resided in Northern Alberta (see map) for a minimum of 6 months in the past 12 month period.
4. All applications are to be received by the Awards Committee for approval or rejection. Selections must be approved by the AWWOA Executive.
5. The first qualified applicant for the scholarship each year will be accepted.
6. Scholarships are a "one time only" award
7. The program can be altered or discontinued with the approval of the AWWOA Executive.
8. If the situation arises that the funding for the scholarship is not available, no scholarship would be awarded that year.

SOUTHERN ALBERTA NAIT SCHOLARSHIP
Full-time Student Applicant - 2011
(The Southern Alberta Scholarship has been awarded for the 2011 course year)

1. Must be a "member in good standing" of the A.W.W.O.A.
2. Must provide confirmation of registration with the NAIT Water and Wastewater Technician Program.
3. Must have resided in Southern Alberta (see map) for a minimum of 6 months in the past 12 month period.
4. All applications are to be received by the Awards Committee for approval or rejection. Selections must be approved by the AWWOA Executive.
5. The first qualified applicant for the scholarship each year will be accepted.
6. Scholarships are a "one time only" award
7. The program can be altered or discontinued with the approval of the AWWOA Executive.

Full-time Scholarship Details

Please Note: There will be some minor changes made to this Scholarship for the 2012 course year as there will be a second NAIT location in Calgary running a alternate schedule from NAIT Edmonton.

1. Scholarships of $3000.00 each will be awarded to an applicant from Northern Alberta and Southern Alberta meeting the general requirements.
2. Deadline for application is November 1st of each year.
3. Approval or rejection will be made by December 15th of each year by the AWWOA Executive.
4. The Scholarships to be paid in two equal payments as follows:

• First payment to be made after confirmation of attendance at NAIT Campus and after the completion of the first term.
• Second payment to be made after confirmation of attendance at NAIT Campus and after the completion of the final term.

Outreach Student Applicant Bursary

Bursary is available to student applicants who can show membership in good standing within the AWWOA and meet the following requirements:

1. Bursaries of $300.00 to be dispersed up to a maximum of five successful applicants per year.
2. Approval or rejection to be completed within 30 days of written application.
3. Bursary to be paid upon successful completion of course (minimum $300 registration fee). The applicant must provide a copy of the Alberta Enviornment approved course completion certificate.

Applications must be made in writing by either the employer or the student applicant.
