Alberta Municipal Health and Safety Association (AMHSA)

The Alberta Municipal Health and Safety Association (AMHSA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping Alberta's municipalities and associate members reduce the human and financial costs resulting from workplace illness, injuries and property damage. AMHSA regular members include all cities, towns, villages, counties, municipal districts, and specialized municipalities. Non-municipal employers can join AMHSA as associate members.

The Association's mandate is to provide meaningful safety training and education programs to its members in a cost effective manner. AMHSA assists members in establishing health and safety programs to reduce the potential for injuries and illness to staff. Spin off benefits include reduced operational costs, increased productivity and morale, better public safety and compliance with legislative requirements.

AMSHA offers health and safety courses on a regular scheduled basis around the province as well as on-site if the member requests it.

In addition to training courses, various safety training videos and publications are available from AMHSA. Please contact the AMHSA office for more information on the courses, or a catalogue of educational resources and services.
